Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer: The Milwaukee Cannibal
Introduction
Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer, also known as the Milwaukee Cannibal, was an American serial killer and sex offender who committed heinous crimes between 1978 and 1991. Dahmer was known for his gruesome acts, including rape, murder, dismemberment, necrophilia, and cannibalism. His reign of terror ended with his arrest on July 22, 1991, after one of his intended victims escaped and alerted the police.
Early Crimes
Dahmer committed his first murder in 1978 at the age of 18. His first victim was hitchhiker Steven Hicks, whom he lured to his home in Bath, Ohio. Dahmer bludgeoned Hicks to death, dismembered the body, and disposed of the remains. For nearly a decade, he remained inactive in terms of murder but was arrested multiple times for sexual offenses.
