Herbert Richard Baumeister: The Fox Hollow Farm Killer
Introduction
Herbert Richard Baumeister was an American businessman and suspected serial killer. He was born on April 7, 1947, in Indianapolis, Indiana, and died by suicide on July 3, 1996, in Pinery Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada. Baumeister is believed to have murdered at least 11 men, most of whom were last seen at gay bars in the early 1990s.
Crimes
Baumeister's crimes came to light when police discovered the remains of 11 men on his property, Fox Hollow Farm, in Westfield, Indiana. The victims were mostly young, gay men who were lured to his property, where they were killed and dismembered. Baumeister's wife, Juliana, allowed police to search their property in June 1996, leading to the discovery of thousands of bone fragments.
