John Lee 'Johnny' Bayer, a 20-year-old male, was last seen on May 28, 1993, in Indianapolis. Rumors had already begun to circulate within the local gay community about men vanishing from the area's nightclubs. Bayer's car was found in a part of the city frequented by male prostitutes, and he never collected his final paycheck from his job at McDonald's, leaving his mother convinced that something was terribly wrong.
