Alonzo Bencomo, a 34-year-old Hispanic male, had just returned to his residence at 250 South Osceola Street in Denver on the evening of October 3, 2011. After parking his car in the alley by his garage, he began to walk into his backyard. It was in this familiar space that he was suddenly confronted by several unknown individuals. The encounter tragically escalated, and Alonzo was shot.
