- June 30, 1976: Carla Baker (20), a college student, was abducted while riding her bicycle near Hays, Kansas. Her remains were discovered on September 21, 1976, in a deserted area near Cedar Bluff Reservoir.
- August 21, 1976: Paula Fabrizius (16), a park rangerette at Cedar Bluff State Park, was abducted, sexually assaulted, and stabbed to death. Her body was found near Castle Rock in Gove County.
Conviction
