Herman Edward "Eddie" Lamb Jr. was born on January 18, 1946, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. His criminal activities began early; in 1961, at the age of 15, he was convicted on federal auto theft charges and sentenced to three years in prison, serving 19 months before parole. Murder of Denise Stahlhut

On December 3, 1977, 21-year-old Denise Stahlhut, a waitress and newlywed of just one week, disappeared after leaving her workplace, Ronnie B's Place, a tavern in southern Illinois. Her body was discovered days later in the trunk of her car at a truck stop. Advances in DNA testing eventually linked Lamb to the crime, leading to his conviction and a sentence exceeding 100 years in prison.

Murder of Linda Wheeler and Her Children

In July 1985, Linda Wheeler, aged 35, and her three children—Angela Mosley (13), Edward Mosley (11), and Michael Mosley (9)—went missing from their home in Oklahoma City. Their remains were found months later at a remote campsite near Sallisaw. Autopsies revealed that the children had suffered fatal beatings and stab wounds. Lamb, who had a prior relationship with Wheeler, was charged with their murders but was acquitted in 1985.

Murder of Terry Lamb

Two weeks following his acquittal in the Wheeler case, the body of Lamb's 14-year-old son, Terry Lamb, was discovered. Details surrounding his death remain unclear, but Lamb was considered a suspect.

Murder of Sandra Kay Carter Davis

On June 2, 1978, Sandra Kay Carter Davis, a 35-year-old mother of five, was last seen at Ray's Bar in Sallisaw. Her remains were found on November 22, 1978, in a shallow grave near Wild Horse Mountain, south of Sallisaw. Evidence indicated she had been stabbed.
