Denise Stahlhut, a 21-year-old woman, was tragically murdered on December 3, 1977. She had been married for just one week before her untimely death. Stahlhut worked as a waitress at a tavern in southern Illinois and was last seen leaving her workplace that evening. Witnesses reported seeing a man matching the description of Herman Edward Lamb Jr. following her out of the establishment. Her frozen body was discovered eight days later in the trunk of her car at a truck stop.
