Crimes

Greenwood's first known murders occurred in November 1964, when he killed two transients. After a decade-long hiatus, during which he served time for a separate assault, Greenwood resumed his killing spree in December 1974. Over the next two months, he murdered nine more victims. His modus operandi involved slashing the throats of his victims, often leaving ritualistic elements such as cups of blood and rings of salt around the bodies. These details led to speculation about possible connections to Satanism, though this was never conclusively proven.
