In the quiet community of Energy, Mississippi, a young life was abruptly cut short on a Monday afternoon in early June. Ernest Ferguson, a 20-year-old male from Lauderdale, was found shot to death on June 1, 2020, at a residence on County Road 514. The Clarke County Sheriff's Department was called to the scene at approximately 2:28 p.m., where they discovered Ferguson's body.
The investigation into the death of the young man, known to some as 'Bubba,' quickly led authorities to a suspect. Twenty-four-year-old Isaiah Roberts was taken into custody in connection with the fatal shooting. Roberts was subsequently charged with murder.
Following his arrest, Isaiah Roberts was incarcerated at the Clarke County Jail. A bond was set at $75,000.
