Kristen Heather Gilbert, born on November 13, 1967, in Fall River, Massachusetts, is an American serial killer and former nurse. She was convicted of four murders and two attempted murders of patients at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in Northampton, Massachusetts. Gilbert earned the nickname "The Angel of Death" due to her heinous crimes.

Crimes

Gilbert used her position as a nurse to administer lethal doses of epinephrine, a heart stimulant, to her victims. This caused cardiac arrest, allowing her to respond to the emergencies she created. Her actions were driven by a need for attention and excitement. She was on duty for an unusually high number of deaths at the hospital, raising suspicions among her colleagues.
