Anna Allas, along with her accomplices Mary Chalfa and fortune teller Gizella Young, orchestrated a series of poisonings in Munhall, Pennsylvania, during the early 1930s. Their primary motive was to collect life insurance payouts from their victims, who were often close family members.

The Death of Andrew Allas

On April 12, 1932, 16-year-old Andrew Allas, Anna's stepson, died under mysterious circumstances. Investigations later revealed that Anna had taken out life insurance policies totaling $18,300 on Andrew shortly before his death. The cause was determined to be poisoning, administered by Anna and her accomplices.

The Murder of Stephen Allas
