On April 12, 1932, 16-year-old Andrew Allas, Anna's stepson, died under mysterious circumstances. Investigations later revealed that Anna had taken out life insurance policies totaling $18,300 on Andrew shortly before his death. The cause was determined to be poisoning, administered by Anna and her accomplices.
The Murder of Stephen Allas
Following Andrew's death, 12-year-old Stephen Allas, another stepson of Anna, became the next victim. He was poisoned using stannous chloride, a toxic substance. The motive remained consistent: to claim substantial life insurance benefits.
