A tragic incident unfolded in Munhall, Pennsylvania, involving the death of 12-year-old Stephen Allas. Stephen, a young boy of undisclosed ethnicity, was fatally poisoned by his stepmother, Mrs. Anna Allas, and her accomplice, Mrs. Mary Chalfa. The two women administered a lethal dose of stannous chloride, commonly known as tin salt, to Stephen, leading to his untimely death. Their motive was financial gain, as they aimed to collect on life insurance policies taken out on Stephen.
