In a tragic turn of events on Friday, November 15, 2024, 23-year-old Zatorrion O'Neil Facion, a male resident of Dothan, Alabama, was found deceased in his home on South Park Avenue. The grim discovery was made by a concerned family member who had gone to check on him. Upon entering the residence, the family member found Facion in his bed, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Responding to a call at approximately 8:00 a.m., Dothan Police officers arrived at the scene and, while
clearing the house, made a second tragic discovery. In a different bedroom, they located Facion's younger brother, 20-year-old Omarion Jackson, also deceased. Jackson had a single gunshot wound to the head, and a 9mm handgun was found on the floor near his body.
Subsequent investigation by the Dothan Police Department, including autopsy results and ballistic reports, led them to conclude that the deaths were the result of a murder-suicide. Evidence gathered at the scene indicated that following an unknown altercation, Jackson shot Facion multiple times. Preliminary ballistics matched the shell casings found in Facion's room to the firearm located near Jackson. After shooting his brother, Jackson went to his own bedroom and took his own life.
Investigators have continued to seek information from the public that might shed light on what led to the violent confrontation between the two brothers who lived together. The last known contact with either of them was on the Thursday prior to their deaths. At the time of the initial discovery, police assured the community that they did not believe there was any ongoing threat to public safety. The case is being investigated as a murder-suicide, and as such, there have been no arrests, and there are no outstanding suspects.
