In the early morning hours of Sunday, May 22, 2022, a sense of normalcy was shattered in downtown Dothan, Alabama, when 21-year-old Jacques Adarius McLeod-Roberts was killed. He was standing outside a café in the 200 block of East Powell Street when an unknown individual approached him and fired a single shot.
