In the late hours of a Saturday in Birmingham, Alabama, a night of socializing turned tragic, leaving a family grieving and a community shaken. On August 8, 2020, Naquinton Brown, a 40-year-old male, was shot and killed. The incident occurred at the #1 Stunnas Motorcycle Club in the Ensley neighborhood.
The club was filled with patrons when an altercation broke out, leading to a hail of gunfire shortly before midnight. In the chaotic aftermath, it was discovered that multiple people had been struck. Naquinton Brown sustained fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. Five other individuals were also wounded in the shooting, among them an off-duty Birmingham police officer who was at the club as a patron.
Due to the involvement of a police officer, the Alabama Bureau of Investigation has taken the lead in the ongoing investigation into the shooting.
