D’Anthony Dejuan Jones, a 22-year-old man from Birmingham, Alabama, was tragically killed in a shooting on August 20, 2024. The incident occurred around 1 a.m. in the Ensley neighborhood, specifically in the 2100 block of Avenue I. D’Anthony was sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle when an unknown assailant fired multiple shots into the car. He was struck by the gunfire and was transported to UAB Hospital by private vehicle, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
