Death by Force

On February 26, 2007, 26-year-old Joseph Van McGhee, who was confined to a wheelchair due to a previous gunshot wound, was visiting his cousin's home on the 400 block of Princeton Avenue in Birmingham, Alabama. During his visit, an argument erupted outside the residence, leading to a gunfight. McGhee was inadvertently struck by a bullet intended for his cousin and was pronounced dead at UAB Hospital.
