Death by Force

On March 5, 2022, at approximately 2:50 p.m., 13-year-old Jaylon Keith Palmore was fatally shot while sitting on his front porch in the 7500 block of 1st Avenue South in Birmingham, Alabama. An adult male present at the scene also sustained a gunshot wound to the arm. Both victims were transported to local hospitals; Jaylon was taken to Children's of Alabama, where he succumbed to his injuries. The adult victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
