On the night of February 25, 2017, in Birmingham, Alabama, 42-year-old Willie Griffin was fatally shot during a domestic dispute. The incident occurred in the Kingston Housing Community, located in the 4500 block of 9th Avenue North. Griffin and 28-year-old April Brackett were inside a vehicle when a verbal altercation ensued in the presence of children.
