On March 4, 2021, at approximately 9:40 p.m., Birmingham Fire & Rescue personnel responded to an apartment fire in the 100 block of Woodstation Place in Birmingham, Alabama. Upon extinguishing the flames, they discovered the body of 39-year-old Terrance Jerome Hardy near a doorway inside the apartment. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office later identified Hardy and determined he had sustained a gunshot wound prior to the fire.
