In the early morning hours of October 15, 2022, the life of a 25-year-old man, Roderick Earl Gray Jr., was tragically cut short in Birmingham, Alabama. Known affectionately as 'Mystic' to his loved ones, he was found unresponsive in an alleyway in the 200 block of 4th Street North at approximately 2:30 a.m. The grim discovery was made by two off-duty Birmingham police officers who were working security at a nearby nightclub and heard gunshots.
