On the evening of October 14, 2018, a dispute in the Smithfield neighborhood of Birmingham, Alabama, tragically cut short the life of 22-year-old Kerry McClure, an African American male. McClure had gone to an apartment complex on the 200 block of 9th Court North to drop off his children. An argument broke out between McClure and another individual.
