On June 7, 2024, at approximately 3:30 p.m., 55-year-old Willie Lee Dorsey Jr. was fatally shot at the Five Points West Food Mart, located at 2258 Bessemer Road in Birmingham, Alabama. Responding officers from the West Precinct discovered Dorsey unresponsive in the parking lot, where he was pronounced dead by Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service at 3:40 p.m.
