On February 5, 2024, Dametrice Levett Broadnax, age 30, was shot and killed in a residence on the 8100 block of 4th Avenue South in Birmingham, Alabama. Authorities responded to a 911 call about a shooting at approximately 2:35 AM. Upon arrival, they discovered Broadnax unresponsive with a gunshot wound. Emergency medical responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
