Carlos Mines, a 26-year-old resident of Birmingham, Alabama, was fatally shot on February 6, 2021. The incident occurred in the early morning hours, around 4:45 a.m., in the Pratt City area. Mines was found dead inside his vehicle, which had crashed near a utility pole and some bushes on Avenue W at Dugan Avenue, right in front of Birmingham Fire Station No. 18.
