On January 1, 2014, 36-year-old DesMon D. Bias was fatally shot at 3212 Wesley Avenue in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred following a domestic dispute between two couples that began in Midfield and escalated upon reaching the Germania Park neighborhood. Upon arrival, authorities detained a suspect at the scene. After a thorough investigation, officials determined that the shooting was justifiable, and no charges were filed.
