On February 19, 2022, at approximately 11:00 a.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to a report of a person shot at 1745 33rd Street Ensley. Upon arrival, they discovered 46-year-old Anthony Jackson II lying unresponsive in front of the residence, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
