The Murders

  • Kidnapped and murdered.
  • Her body was found in a wooded area outside Gaffney.
• Nancy Christine Rhinehart (Age 14) - February 1968
  • Kidnapped while walking home from school.
  • Her body was discovered strangled and left in a rural area.
• Opal Diane Buckson (Age 14) - February 1968
  • Kidnapped and murdered in the same month as Nancy Rhinehart.
  • Her body was also found in a secluded area.
• Joyce Diane Ford (Age 15) - February 1968
  • Abducted and killed.
  • Found in the same general location as the other victims.
