Annie Lucille Dedmond, a 33-year-old Caucasian woman, was tragically murdered on May 20, 1967, in Union County, South Carolina. Her nude body was discovered on Jerusalem Road, a rural area in the county. Dedmond, who was married to Roger Zane Dedmond, was initially believed to have been killed by her husband. Law enforcement arrested Roger Dedmond and charged him with her murder. He was sentenced to 18 years in prison despite his claims of innocence.
