In the spring of 1967, the life of 33-year-old Annie Lucille Dedmond, a Caucasian woman from Gaffney, South Carolina, came to a tragic and violent end. On May 20th, after an evening spent with her husband, Roger Zane Dedmond, her nude body was discovered on the rural Jerusalem Road in Union County. The initial investigation swiftly focused on her husband, who, despite maintaining his innocence, was arrested, charged, and ultimately sentenced to 18 years in prison for her murder.
