In the summer of 2022, a young Black/African American woman's life was tragically cut short in Columbia, South Carolina. Twenty-one-year-old Jasmine Gantt, a resident of Columbia, was fatally shot on June 7, 2022, following a dispute. The incident that led to her untimely death unfolded at a home on Spalding Avenue, located in the northern part of the city.
