On a Thursday evening in Columbia, South Carolina, the life of 19-year-old Raeneshia Nixon was tragically cut short. On February 4, 2021, the young Black mother was driving with her one-month-old daughter when an unknown assailant opened fire on her vehicle. A bullet struck Nixon in the upper body, yet she bravely attempted to drive to safety. However, she soon lost control of her car and crashed.
