Nancy Christine Rhinehart, a 14-year-old girl, was tragically murdered on February 8, 1968, in Gaffney, South Carolina. She was one of the victims of Lee Roy Martin, infamously known as the 'Gaffney Strangler.' Rhinehart's body was discovered buried under a brush pile, with one foot visibly protruding. She had been strangled and raped.
