The Nathanson Family Tragedy
On the night of August 15, 1987, Bankston struck again, this time targeting the Nathanson family. Ann Morris, 63, her sister Sally Nicholson, 59, and Sally's daughter Helen Nicholson, 22, were savagely hacked to death with a hatchet in their home on Carr's Hill. The sheer mutilation of the corpses was so severe that they were beyond recognition and had to be identified through post-mortem testing.
