On August 15, 1987, in Athens, Georgia, a horrific crime shocked the community. Three women—63-year-old Ann Morris, her 59-year-old sister Sally Nicholson, and Sally's 22-year-old daughter Helen Nicholson—were brutally murdered in their home. The assailant used a hatchet to inflict severe injuries, leaving the victims unrecognizable; identification was possible only through post-mortem testing.
