Auriel Callaway, a 24-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on July 22, 2019, in Athens, Georgia. Callaway, who was four months pregnant, was attempting to protect her 3-year-old son, Mason, from gunfire that erupted outside their apartment complex.
