Darla LaDavia Gibbons, a 23-year-old African American woman from Athens, GA, was tragically found dead on October 22, 2014. Her body was discovered in the trunk of her burned-out car at a quarry off Winterville Road in Athens. The investigation revealed that Darla had been fatally shot before her car was set on fire.
