Latisha Gresham, a 36-year-old African American woman, was tragically killed on January 26, 2019, in her home in Athens, Georgia. The incident occurred during an argument with her boyfriend, Marion Adkins Jr., at their residence on Moreland Avenue. According to Athens-Clarke County police, Adkins claimed that the gun he was holding accidentally discharged during the argument, resulting in Gresham's fatal gunshot wound.
