Crime Spree
Rich's crimes took place over the course of a few months in 1978, during which he committed multiple rapes, sexual assaults, and four murders. He was known for his method of attacking his victims, often raping and then pushing them from heights to their deaths or shooting them execution-style.
Victims
- Annette Selix - On June 6, 1978, Rich raped and threw 11-year-old Annette Selix from a bridge in Anderson, California. She survived the initial fall but later died from her injuries.
- Patricia Moore - On July 4, 1978, Rich brutally attacked 17-year-old Patricia Moore. She was raped, shot in the head, and her body was dumped in the Sacramento River.
- Linda Slavik - On August 13, 1978, Rich raped 19-year-old Linda Slavik before shooting her in the head and disposing of her body in a remote area.
- Annette Edwards - On August 21, 1978, Rich raped 17-year-old Annette Edwards and pushed her off a bridge in Anderson, California, mimicking his earlier crime. She, too, died from her injuries.
