Jerome Dennis was born on December 14, 1966, in Newark, New Jersey. He was the seventh of nine children and was raised primarily by his mother. Dennis had a troubled childhood, starting his encounters with law enforcement at the age of 11. He dropped out of school in the seventh grade and escalated from minor theft to rape.

Criminal History

On November 6, 1981, at the age of 14, Jerome Dennis, along with his brother William, committed a rape in downtown Newark. They were arrested after reporting the attack themselves. Jerome was convicted in December 1981 for rape, false imprisonment, and armed robbery, and was sentenced to 30 years in prison, with the possibility of release after 10 years. ...
