On a spring evening in 1992, 16-year-old Jamillah Jones was making her way home in East Orange, New Jersey. Having been out with friends, she decided to head back as night began to fall. Tragically, she would never make it home. Just six blocks from her house, she was attacked by Jerome Dennis. Dennis, a paroled rapist, subjected the teenager to a brutal assault, raping and stabbing her to death before callously discarding her body off a pedestrian overpass.
