In the early hours of November 15, 2023, the life of 35-year-old Janill Perez of Roselle, New Jersey, was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in East Orange. A Hispanic female, Perez was discovered by East Orange police on the 100 block of Springdale Avenue at approximately 12:55 a.m., having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. She was quickly transported to University Hospital in Newark, where she was pronounced dead at 1:40 a.m.
