Moon Smoke Shop Murders - May 30, 1996

On May 30, 1996, Jones, accompanied by Scott Nordstrom and his brother David Nordstrom as the lookout and getaway driver, targeted the Moon Smoke Shop in Tucson, Arizona. The robbery quickly escalated into a brutal homicide:

• Clarence "Chip" Odell III, 47: A customer shot in the head immediately upon entry.
• Thomas Hardman, 26: An employee pursued to a back room and executed with a shot to the head.

During the chaos, other employees were assaulted, with one being shot but surviving the ordeal. The assailants fled with stolen money, leaving a scene of devastation behind.

Firefighters Union Hall Murders - June 13, 1996

Just two weeks later, on June 13, 1996, Jones and Scott Nordstrom struck again, this time at the Firefighters Union Hall in Tucson. The robbery culminated in the cold-blooded execution of four individuals:

• Arthur "Taco" Bell, 54: A patron shot in the back of the head while seated at the bar.
• Judy Bell, 46: Another patron and wife of Arthur Bell, also shot execution-style at the bar.
• Maribeth Munn, 53: A patron similarly executed alongside the Bells.
• Carol Lynn Noel, 50: The bartender who, after being unable to open the safe, was taken to a back room, assaulted, and shot twice.
