Eugene Ambard, a 68-year-old physician from Honolulu, Hawaii, was last seen on August 24, 2000. Ambard, who worked at Kaiser Moanalua Medical Center, left his home early that morning and was spotted later in the afternoon at a local grocery store in Hawaii Kai. His disappearance became more alarming when his boat, a Boston Whaler, was found drifting near Diamond Head with its anchor dragging in the water.
