Matthew Curley, a 28-year-old from New York City, went missing on August 29, 2011, while scuba diving off the coast of Waialae Beach Park in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was part of a commercial dive tour group exploring waters roughly half a mile from shore at depths of 60 to 80 feet. During the dive, the group resurfaced to regroup, but Curley did not reappear.
