Joseph Naso, also known as "Crazy Joe" or "The Double Initial Killer," is an American serial killer and rapist. Born on January 7, 1934, in Rochester, New York, Naso committed a series of heinous crimes between 1977 and 1994. He was convicted of four murders but is suspected of being involved in more. His victims often had matching initials in their first and last names, which led to his infamous nickname.
Confirmed Victims
- Roxene Roggasch: Found on January 10, 1977, near Fairfax, California. She was 18 years old and had been strangled.
- Carmen Lorraine Colon: Discovered on August 13, 1978, along Carquinez Scenic Highway in California. She was 22 years old.
- Pamela Ruth Parsons: A 38-year-old waitress whose body was found on September 19, 1993, in Yuba County, California.
- Tracy Lynn McKinney Tafoya: Murdered in 1994, her body was dumped near Marysville Cemetery in California.
Additional Details
Naso kept a diary detailing his crimes and took photographs of his victims, which were later discovered during a parole check. He was arrested in 2011 and sentenced to death for his crimes. Despite his conviction, Naso maintained his innocence throughout the trial.
