Background

Carl Ferdinand Feigenbaum, also known as Anton Zahn, was a German merchant seaman and occasional florist. Born in 1840, Feigenbaum was executed at Sing Sing Prison in New York on April 27, 1896, for the murder of his landlady, Juliana Hoffman. He is also suspected of being the infamous Jack the Ripper.

Feigenbaum's criminal activities spanned several countries, including the United States, Germany, Nicaragua, and Switzerland. His confirmed and alleged crimes took place between 1888 and 1894.
