James L. Hill, a 45-year-old resident of Independence, Missouri, tragically lost his life on September 22, 2016. The incident occurred around midnight in the parking lot of a Walgreens located at 23rd Street and Sterling Avenue. Hill was the victim of an armed robbery that escalated into a fatal shooting. According to reports, two suspects approached Hill, robbed him at gunpoint, and subsequently shot him. The suspects fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
