Brian K. Jones-Woodruff Jr., a 23-year-old resident of Independence, Missouri, tragically lost his life on July 14, 2019. The incident occurred in the parking lot of a McDonald's on U.S. 40 Highway in Independence. According to court records, Jones-Woodruff died as a result of gunshot wounds inflicted by a 9mm handgun. The shooting took place while he was standing in the parking lot, and he was not the intended target but rather an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire.
