Death by Force

On October 29, 2023, 30-year-old Mario Anthony Batrez and his 23-year-old brother, Adonis Knight, were fatally shot in their home in Independence, Missouri. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. in the 21100 block of East 50th Terrace Drive South. Police responded to a 911 call from the brothers' mother, who reported that her husband had shot her two sons.
