- September 13, 2004: Teresa "Teri" Brandt – Brandt's 46-year-old wife was found stabbed seven times in the chest while lying on a couch in their niece's home in Maitland, Florida.
- September 13, 2004: Michelle Jones – Brandt's 37-year-old niece, residing in Maitland, Florida. She was discovered in her bedroom, decapitated and disemboweled, with her heart removed and her head placed beside her body.
Investigation and Additional Suspected Victims
Following the 2004 murders, investigators delved into Brandt's past, uncovering his obsession with human anatomy and possible connections to other unsolved cases. While definitive evidence is lacking, Brandt is suspected in several other murders:
- September 20, 1978: Carol Sullivan – A 12-year-old girl abducted from a school bus stop in Volusia County, Florida. Her skull was later found in a bucket, but her body was never recovered.
- December 1988: Lisa Saunders – A 20-year-old woman beaten, stabbed, and dragged from her car in Big Pine Key, Florida. Her heart was missing when her body was found, though it's unclear if it was removed by the perpetrator or scavenging animals.
- 1995: Darlene Toler – A 38-year-old woman from Miami, Florida. Her body, missing its head and heart, was wrapped in plastic and blankets and discovered dumped near a highway. Brandt frequently traveled this route, and records indicate he was in the area at the time of her murder.
